OUR DEPARTMENT is a division of the College of Arts and Sciences, offering ACS-certified B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry.

 

OUR MISSION is to inspire life-long learning among the department's students, faculty and staff. Both in the classroom and the laboratory, we engage in rigorous and reflective intellectual inquiry. The department is committed to integrating current technology and instrumentation into its curriculum. Following in the liberal arts tradition, we seek to build critical problem solving skills in our students. As a Jesuit institution, we encourage our students to use their skills for the betterment of science and humanity. 

FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY

Fairfield University is a private, co-educational undergraduate and graduate level university located in Fairfield, Connecticut in the New England region of the United States. It was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1942, and today is one of 27 member institutions of the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.
